meet our team

Deborah’s journey from a three-decade engineering career to achieving an MA in counseling is a testament to her deep commitment to lifelong learning and her dedication to positively impacting the lives of others. This shift wasn’t just a professional change; it was a response to a calling, fueled by her faith and passion for helping others.

Her active involvement in short-term international missions and various ministries within her church and community reflects a holistic approach to service. Deborah’s mission goes beyond combating mental health stigma and shame through education; it aligns with her core values of treating everyone with respect and dignity– a philosophy molded by her experiences as an immigrant.

In her counseling style, Deborah leans toward cognitive-behavioral therapy and she creates a secure space for clients to embark on a journey of self-exploration and healing. Her areas of focus span a wide array of areas, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, relationships and family issues.

As a mother of two adult children, Deborah balances her professional pursuits with personal interests. Engaging in community service, playing the piano, roller skating, dancing, and spending time with friends and family contribute to her well-rounded life.

Deborah’s Christian faith serves as the cornerstone of her life and therapeutic style, providing a framework for introspection with her clients. Her dedication to service and commitment to guiding her clients on a path of healing makes her a valuable part of the team at Abundant Living!
Meet Brandie, a dedicated Master’s level student intern on her journey towards a Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Colorado Christian University, set to graduate in May 2025. Her own pursuit of healing ignited the path to becoming a counselor.

Guided by a heart devoted to the Lord, Brandie feels a calling to support families, couples, teens, and children through life’s challenges. Her innate gentleness and compassion cultivate a safe, authentic, and supportive space where you can navigate your struggles together.

As a wife and mother, Brandie understands the complexities of balancing family life and handling relationship stressors. She’s eager to collaborate with families, couples, and individuals striving to fortify their resilience and rediscover the quality of life that God created them to experience.

In her downtime, Brandie finds joy in verse mapping and moments with her husband, children, and her four-legged companion, Amos the horse.

Brandie is under the clinical supervision of Rachael L. Heinsen, LMFT and under the site direction of Mandi Penney, LPC.
