meet our team

Meet Classic, a devoted wife, mother, and associate counselor here at Abundant Living Counseling. With a heart for supporting individuals, couples, and families, Classic brings years of experience guiding people toward healing, growth, and deeper relationships. Her own faith and love for family fuel her passion for strengthening marriages and helping individuals thrive.

As a mother to seven children—both biological and adopted—and a former foster parent, Classic understands the joys and challenges of family life. She brings a compassionate perspective to the unique journey of each client, recognizing the importance of nurturing others while staying grounded in who God created each person to be. She is especially passionate about helping marriages discover purpose and resilience and helping parents as they nurture others without losing themselves along the way.

In her work with individuals, Classic provides a welcoming, empathetic space for clients to explore their personal struggles, discover their strengths, and find new ways to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, life transitions, or pondering the question, “Who am I anymore?” Classic tailors her approach, through wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit, to support you as you find clarity, healing, and direction.

Classic’s approach to counseling is Christ-centered, integrating a range of proven therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFST). She ensures that each session respects your unique values and is attuned to your goals and needs.

With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, Classic is committed to continued learning. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Developmental Psychology and holds certifications as a Marriage and Pre-Marital Facilitator, a Christian Life Coach, an ADHD Clinical Service Provider, and a Clinical Trauma Professional.

Outside of the office, Classic finds joy in worshiping through sign language, homeschooling her children, and spending time in nature. She and her husband run a small family farm, filled with animals, a garden, and an orchard. She loves camping, walking, playing the flute, reading her Bible, and connecting with fellow Believers. Classic brings this love for life, faith, and family into her work, creating a warm and welcoming space for clients to find healing and growth.

Meet Brandie, our Certified Pastoral Counselor, and dedicated Master’s level student completing her journey towards a Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Colorado Christian University, set to graduate in December 2024. Her own pursuit of healing ignited the path to becoming a counselor.

Guided by a heart devoted to the Lord, Brandie feels a calling to support families, couples, teens, and children through life’s challenges. Her innate gentleness and compassion cultivate a safe, authentic, and supportive space where you can navigate your struggles together.

As a wife and mother, Brandie understands the complexities of balancing family life and handling relationship stressors. She’s eager to collaborate with families, couples, and individuals striving to fortify their resilience and rediscover the quality of life that God created them to experience.

In her downtime, Brandie finds joy in verse mapping and moments with her husband, children, and her four-legged companion, Amos the horse.

Brandie is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Arielle Saunders Blum, PhD, LMFT, and under the site direction of Mandi Penney, LPC
